Schumacher Residence

Located in La Quinta, California, in the prestigious Madison Club golf community, this modern desert home, crafted by our Newport Beach Architect company, with materials representing the surrounding mountains and desert, was designed as a true vacation home.

The home site faces West onto the golf course and the majestic Santa Rosa mountains. As the client desired the view be immediately apparent, the home has two elliptical radial walls which define the focus towards the view through a covered pavilion. The pavilion's vanishing walls, through the use of pocket glass doors, allow for this space to work both as indoor and outdoor living. Our company in Newport Beach designed this modern desert home with an expansive opening towards the golf course that extends 60 feet for a seamless view and the roof line provides shade under maximum sun-angle.

As the clients entertain frequently, the kitchen resembles an entertaining bar but functions as a complete kitchen.

Additionally, the property has four bedroom suites, two on each side of the pavilion space of this modern desert home. Our Newport Beach Architect company designed each suite to function as a glorified vacation resort suite, including private outdoor gardens with showers and lush landscaping.

The elliptical scheme on one side of the home continues on to define the edge of the pool, further tying into the radial design element and promoting the view corridor.
