Green Apple Residence

Behind the gate of the exquisite Madison Club, in the Palm Springs Valley, this modern masterpiece includes a second story bar lounge over a luxury pool and outdoor living area.

In addition, a series of water features enhance a dramatic central courtyard along with an array of indoor outdoor spaces that extend onto the golf course views.

Located in the Palm Springs area behind the gates of the exclusive Madison Club, the community is nestled against the Santa Rosa Mountains. The home was designed by our Newport Beach architect company and built as a desert resort destination. This elegant contemporary home is a spectacular masterpiece of composition. The horizontal elements are designed to create a complementary arrangement of masses and the varying materials further enhance these forms, producing a home sculptured as a piece of art.

The entrance into the home’s courtyard is accessible through an automated, transparent multi-door system; these doors were custom designed with the use of precision laser cut metal and highlighted with fiber optic lighting. Upon entering the courtyard, a themed water oasis takes center stage, complete with several terraces that are used for entertaining and are surrounded by water with a series of sculptured olive trees to soften the hardscape and create a shading effect. The interior courtyard extends directly into the home to maximize the indoor/outdoor relationship.

The courtyard also acts as the entry to all the guest suites adjacent to this outdoor space. Our Newport Beach architect company took this design approach to the guest bedroom suites in order to further project a sense of a resort living.

Upon entering the home, the immense open floor plan extends to the panoramic view of the desert golf course and mountains beyond. This is achieved by the vast volume of glass walls that capture the spectacular views, opening the intimacy of this vast interior and exposing it to the serenity to the desert landscape. This main area includes a variety of spaces, including dining, a formal lounge, kitchen, and large entertainment space. The entertainment space is recessed below floor height to maximize sociable gatherings, and view opportunities of the rear terrace and pool area.

The interior design is layered with rich materials that coexist in the interior and exterior of the home. The dining fireplace is composed of copper cladding surrounded by a hand etched granite. The kitchen is divided into two distinct spaces: a task area concealed from view, providing the components for daily function, and a show piece area, crafted with European cabinetry, backlit quartz and granite counter tops, stainless steel tile walls and a custom light fixture. The recessed entertainment space takes its roots from the 1950’s palm springs conversation pit, accentuated for today's lifestyle, including an architectural sculptured fireplace and wine cabinets. The furniture layout was carefully planned to optimize view orientation and social interaction. Finally the immense interior space connects to the rear terrace, which is designed with a spectacular pool as its focal point. This water feature meanders under the covered structure, providing shade for bathers in the desert climate, as well as a swim up bar. There is also a tanning shelf, and spa.

The owner's bedroom suite is a gorgeous showpiece, complete with a floor to ceiling custom headboard that features backlit leather wrapped organic shaped panels, and an expensive set of glass doors, allowing for a remarkable view of the desert. The bath area is visually designed by our Newport Beach architect company to emulate a luxury resort spa. The centerpiece being the tub, which is surrounded by four panels of floor to ceiling glass, yet open to the sky to allow for star gazing while bathing.

The second floor consists of a secondary bedroom suite along with a large game/entertainment lounge. This amazing space includes a casino style bar, multiple tv screens, featured cocktail bar, wine wall, billiard table, lounge seating and a theater room. This area provides for uncompromising views to the golf course, and desert mountains beyond.

The rear architectural elevation, defined by vast panels of glass walls, opens the interior spaces to desert climate and views. This stunning structure embodies the elegance of contemporary living.
