Luker Residence

Reminiscent of a Spanish village perched on a hilltop, this magnificent villa overlooks the city lights and the far-reaching ocean views.

The unusual site configuration was a driving factor in the homes design, with the floor plan maximized for view opportunities from all major interior spaces.  Similar to a Spanish villa, the entrance to the home is located deep in a courtyard, enabling one to experience a series of architectural elements as one proceeds to the front door.  The elegant, understated front elevation, limited by the width of the site, draws one through a porte-cochere into the courtyard which is crafted with rich architectural details.  Upon entering the home, visual drama is created by a series of architectural spaces designed to optimize the view experience from each space.  Lastly, the home’s strong proportions and composition are highlighted by two vertical towers standing as a viewing symbol to the community below.
